When you want to truly know a city you ask the locals. AVIA did just that, and here are picks and tips for diving into The Woodlands.

Few people are as passionate and vocal in their unabashed praise of The Woodlands as a unique place for business and pleasure than Nick Wolda.
For more than a decade, Wolda has headed up The Woodlands Township marketing effort and for the past two years, he has served as the president of the area’s convention and visitors bureau.
“The Woodlands is truly a unique place to live, work and explore,” he said. “The concept of integrating residential and commercial projects in a natural setting was an immediate success.”
The winning ways of the region continue as The Woodlands continues to prosper – attracting new residents, new businesses and ongoing economic prosperity. Rather than resting on their laurels, civic and community leaders are dedicated to continued development of parks, recreation areas and greenbelts.
“It’s a beautiful, natural environment with activities for the whole family,” said Wolda. “It’s the perfect place for business or pleasure.”
