The Napa River. Napa is a rare city in California on a navigable river. Now being tamed from its former rambunctious manner, it has once again become a focus of life in Napa. Numerous cafés and restaurants face the river and its riverwalk, a trail that will someday stretch almost 20 miles. For now, paths north and south of the city center wind through rural areas along the river, while the downtown river promenade beckons only blocks from the AVIA Napa. You can also rent kayaks to explore the river, or take a cruise in a silent electric boat.

Every great host has a house tradition and AVIA's is all about the simple epicurean delights of our culinary team. Every evening the AVIA Chef shares a small Tasting - a favorite starter featuring fresh local ingredients and a fusion of flavors. Sometimes simple, sometimes not – but always tempting and free!

The Hosts at AVIA's Napa Valley hotel try to make Thursday's Tastings even more tempting by inviting local vintners and wineries to pour new releases and unique flavors for AVIA guests to try. Ask your AVIA Hosts about upcoming Vineyard Tastings.
